Headlight restoration in Canterbury and surrounding villages — covering CT1 through CT4. We come to your address across Canterbury city, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Sturry and the surrounding villages.
Canterbury sees a mix of student cars at the university, family cars in the residential outskirts, and a strong contingent of older vehicles in the surrounding villages where yellowed headlights are particularly common. Coastal areas like Whitstable and Herne Bay have the same accelerated UV-and-salt issue we see in Southend and Clacton. Restoration is dramatically cheaper than replacement and the result lasts years with our standard UV sealant.
Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Sturry, Chartham, Bridge, Petham, Sandwich, Wingham, Ash, Hersden, Tankerton, Seasalter.
Modern headlights are made from polycarbonate plastic with a thin UV-protective coating on the outside. After a few years, that coating breaks down — leaving the lens to oxidise in the sun. The result is the cloudy, yellow or hazy look you see on most cars over 4 or 5 years old.
We don't just polish the surface. Our process removes the damaged oxidised layer entirely with multiple grades of wet-sanding, then machine-polishes the lens back to optical clarity, then seals it with a UV ceramic coating to stop the damage coming back. The sealant is included with every job as standard — most other restorers charge extra for it.
Pricing depends on the vehicle and the state of the lenses. The quickest way to get a price is to send us a couple of photos on WhatsApp — we'll get back to you within minutes with a fixed quote and the next available slot in Canterbury.

★★★★★"Lovely chap, came out to our cottage near Petham. Headlights on the Defender were trashed from years outdoors. Look brand new now. Top job."
